What you should expect

• Cosmetic imperfections: scratches, dings, small dents. Our Versas have lived full lives in Hawaii's salt air.
• Not brand-new smooth: older suspension, older steering, older everything. They drive well but they don't drive like a 2024 Corolla.
• Minor wear-and-tear quirks: a brake light that might need replacing mid-rental, a key fob battery getting low, a door seal showing its age. Normal for cars of this age. Call us if anything comes up and we'll handle it quickly. Mechanical and safety issues always get addressed before your next rental.

Sedans vs. hatchbacks: same design, different trunk

Our fleet is a mix of Nissan Versa sedans (traditional trunk) and Nissan Versa hatchbacks (larger cargo area, rear seats fold down). Inventory rotates constantly, so we can't guarantee which body style you'll get, but you'll always receive a reliable Versa with the same dimensions, fuel economy, and driving feel.

Why Nissan Versa? (And why we only rent one model)

When we started Baba Car Rentals in 2013, the cheapest rental on the island was a $700-a-week Jeep from a national chain. We knew there had to be a better option for locals and military families who just needed wheels. We picked the Versa because:
